ラウール挑戦とKOHEIの結婚から見る、ランウェイモデル業界の現在地とAI時代の未来とは？
「Yahoo!ニュース」のトップトピックスにも掲載された、Snow Manのラウールによるファッションショーへの挑戦（本日9月13日10:00から「Prime Video」で配信されるドキュメンタリー番組「RAUL:ON THE RUNWAY」のエピソード記事）。さらにランウェイショー出演ランキング世界1位の獲得経験を持つKOHEIと女優・松井愛莉の結婚報道もあり、今あらためて“ランウェイモデル”という存在が社会の関心を集めている。
山口小夜子や冨永愛といった伝説的な存在に続く形で、海外の舞台を歩く日本人モデルは確実に増えてきた。しかし、その舞台裏やキャリアの実態は、まだあまり知られていない。
そんな今だからこそ、「そもそもファッションモデル事務所とは？」「“今”、日本人モデルに求められるものは？」「AI時代で、モデルに求められるものは？」などを、わかりやすく伝えるべく、今回は日本を代表し「アジアNo.1」と評される、ファッションモデル事務所のDONNA Modelsのマネージャー・宮島仁さんに貴重な“リアルな裏側”事情の話を聞いた。
