Yusuke Kafuku, a stage actor and director, still unable, after two years, to cope with the loss of his beloved wife, accepts to direct Uncle Vanja at a theater festival in Hiroshima. There he meets Misaki, an introverted young woman, appointed to drive his car. In between rides, secrets from the past and heartfelt confessions will be unveiled.

    Deserves to b seen at a cinema. I also enjoyed another of his film..Wheel of Fortune. Urban/rural Japan vignettes deserves an Oscar just for being beautiful to gaze at.

  12. I was just looking on info about Masaki Okada and stumbled upon this trailer. I didn't know Drive My Car has a movie and it looks sooo good! I'm a fan of Haruki Murakami so I recognized the title.

  13. The script is perfect, and makes the film one of the best of the last decada, no doubt. A masterpiece.
