When I first saw Kingdom season1, I didn't like most character designs especially Ouki with intimidating look and thick lips with gross smile. As I watch series, I learned his face, posture, intimidating arrogant behavior was terror to enemy and morale itself to the ally. Ou Ki is 24hrs 365days like this, even when arrows rains and spears pierce through body he remained indomitable. I'm one piece fanboy, but Ou Ki had bigger impact than Whitebeard. Being absolutely intimidating enemy-> ally, a general who never wants to fall before his allies to pass on the flame. Just started to see season 2, and hopefully it does action scenes better than season 1.
I watched this anime from S1-3 no spoilers, no manga read. The animation didn't bother me at all, the story was just so amazing. I've probably seen at least 70 different anime, this is easily in my top 5 ahead of jujustu kaisen, mha, black clover

When i saw general ouki the first time in manga, i was genuinely scared af. Thst constant smile on his face creeped the fck out of me.
