今回はEXILEさんの「運命のヒト」をデュオでリリースしました。

さてそんな今回はEXILEさんの「運命のヒト」です。
「Carry On/運命のヒト」に収録されたバラード曲「運命のヒト」を、壮大なオーケストラアレンジで再構築した楽曲です。原曲は、ATSUSHIさんが作詞、山口寛雄さんが作曲を手掛け、テレビ朝日系番組『奇跡の扉 TVのチカラ』のエンディングテーマとして使用されたそうです。
この曲は、過去の恋愛を振り返り、再び出会えた喜びと切なさを歌ったラブバラードで、深い感情が込められています。
2006年に開催されたEXILEの新ボーカルオーディション「VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION」では、TAKAHIROさんがこの曲を歌唱し、彼にとって特別な楽曲となっています。
SHUNさんバージョンと、TAKAHIROさんバージョンと2つあり、今回はTAKAHIROさんバージョンでリリースしております。
私はこのオーケストラバージョンで運命のヒトを知り、学生ながらに「ええ曲やあ…」しんみりしてました。
EXILEさんのこういう恋愛バラードは、なんというか歌詞が繊細で、重すぎず軽すぎずとても素敵なんですよね…

This time, I’m releasing a duet cover of EXILE’s Unmei no Hito!
Hey there, it’s Puu, the video editor. The weather’s been all over the place lately, huh? It’s supposed to warm up this weekend, but then it’ll get chilly again. Both Teruteru and I have started feeling those seasonal allergies… and on top of that, my main job is in its busiest season! Things are crazy right now! 😂
Anyway, today’s cover is Unmei no Hito by EXILE. This song was originally released as a ballad on Carry On/Unmei no Hito and later reworked into a grand orchestral version. The lyrics were written by ATSUSHI, with music composed by Hiroo Yamaguchi, and it was even used as the ending theme for the TV Asahi show Kiseki no Tobira TV no Chikara.
It’s a love ballad that reflects on past relationships, capturing both the joy and bittersweet emotions of reconnecting with someone special. Back in 2006, during EXILE’s Vocal Battle Audition, TAKAHIRO performed this song, making it a significant track in his journey.
There are two main versions: SHUN’s and TAKAHIRO’s. This time, I went with TAKAHIRO’s version! I first discovered this song through the orchestral version back when I was a student, and even then, I remember thinking, “Wow… what a beautiful song.” EXILE’s love ballads have such delicate lyrics—not too heavy, not too light—just the perfect balance of emotions.
