【ストーリー / Story】
久々に大阪に舞い戻った朝吉と清次。朝吉は、
悪名稼業の足を洗い、清次とも別れる決意をひそかに固めて、
鍋料理店で最後の宴会を催すが、
支払いの金が足りなくなってしまう。
店で働いて金を返すと言う朝吉に、
店の娘・お米は、ほかにいい手があると彼を賭場に連れて行き、
そこで町工場の女主人・お政と勝負をした朝吉は、
ボロ勝ちを収めることに。けれどもその後、
お政の苦しい実情を知った朝吉は
彼女のために奔走することとなる。
Asakichi and Seiji return to Osaka after a long absence.
Asakichi has secretly made up his mind to
wash his mind of his notorious business and
part ways with Seiji, and holds his last banquet at a
hotpot restaurant, but runs short of money to pay the bill.
When Asakichi says he will work at the restaurant to
pay back the money, the restaurant’s daughter, Oyone,
offers him an alternative and takes him to a gambling den,
where Asakichi plays a game with Omasa,
the owner of the town factory, and ends up winning
handsomely. However, Asakichi later learns of
Omasa’s difficult situation, and he ends up working hard for her.
